Email Spam Test
Send a real email to three one-time addresses and get a score out of 10 - what spam filters actually weigh: authentication, blacklists on the sending IP and domain, the copy, the headers, and where Gmail filed it. Every point lost comes with the fix.
Get three one-time test addresses, send your real email to all of them at once, and see your score out of 10 - with exactly what costs you points and how to fix it. No signup.
How the score works
What costs points
- Authentication: no SPF or DKIM (1.5 each), no or failing DMARC (1), a DKIM domain that doesn’t match your From domain
- Blacklists: the sending IP or your domain being listed (up to 3 in total)
- Content: spam phrases, link shorteners, tracking pixels, image-heavy or hidden-text HTML (up to 4)
- Headers: no List-Unsubscribe, no Message-ID, a spam flag from the receiver
- Delivery: Gmail filing it as spam (2.5) or in a tab other than Primary (0.5)
Worth knowing
- Three fresh mailboxes are a signal, not a verdict. For a spread across several inboxes use the Email Placement Test.
- We read your message to score it but keep only the findings - never the text. If a test shows serious problems for a company domain, we may email the sender to offer help.
- Anything we can’t measure (an IPv6 sender, lists that didn’t answer) costs no points and is marked as a note.
Scored low, or want it to stay high at volume? We fix the setup behind the score - authentication, domains, warm-up.
