What this does - and doesn’t - tell you
What’s checked
- Seven IP blacklists, including Spamhaus ZEN, Barracuda, SpamCop and Mailspike.
- Three domain blacklists: Spamhaus DBL, SURBL and URIBL.
- For a domain, the IPs of its mail servers (MX) as well.
Worth knowing
- Some lists refuse free queries from cloud servers. Those show grey and are never counted as clean.
- Clean here doesn’t guarantee inbox placement - reputation with Gmail and Microsoft is separate.
- If you send through a provider, check the sending IP, not just the domain.
