What is Sending domain?

A domain used only for sending outreach, separate from the company's primary domain.

How it works in practice

Using lookalike or secondary domains protects the main domain's reputation from the higher risk of cold sending. Each one needs its own authentication and warm-up, and several mailboxes per domain keeps volume per mailbox low.

The common mistake

Putting too many mailboxes on a single new domain.
