What is Google Postmaster Tools?
Google's free dashboard showing how Gmail sees your domain: spam rate, authentication and compliance.
How it works in practice
You verify a domain by DNS and see data once you send enough volume to Gmail. Version 2 centres on a compliance status against the bulk sender requirements. It reports on domains, not on individual mailboxes, so it's useful for spotting trends in a larger operation and empty for a handful of low-volume mailboxes.
The common mistake
Expecting data for a domain that sends only a few hundred messages a day.
